Chicken cages are very important main equipment in chicken farms. Different environments are suitable for different chicken cages. At the same time, they are also used to distinguish chicken species in different growth periods. There are two kinds of plastic materials and metal materials, which are common in general farms. 1. Ladder layer cages are the first chicken cages to be promoted in my country during the transition from free-range farming to intensive chicken farms, and are the most commonly used equipment in chicken production. The full ladder type chicken stick has 2~3 layers, and its advantages are: ①The open area of each layer cage is large, the ventilation is good and the light is uniform; ②The manure cleaning operation is relatively simple; ③The structure is relatively simple and easy to maintain; Artificial damage. The disadvantage is that the stocking density is low, 10-12/m2. The three-layer full ladder chicken cage for laying hens and the two-layer full ladder artificial insemination for breeders are currently the most commonly used chicken cage combinations in my country.
2. In order to further increase the stocking density, on the basis of the full ladder cage, the part between the upper and lower layers is re-boarded to form a half-ladder chicken cage. In order to prevent the feces of the chickens on the upper layer from falling on the chickens on the lower layer, there are dung guards on the overlapping parts of the upper and lower layers, which are installed at a certain angle, and the feces slide into the cesspit. The stocking density (15-17 birds/m2) is higher than that of the whole ladder, which can generally be increased by 30-30%, but lower than that of the stratified type. Compared with the full ladder chicken cage, the ventilation effect is slightly worse due to the obstruction of the manure board, but the operation is more convenient and it is easy to observe the status of the chicken flock. At present, most of the semi-ladder chicken cages used are four layers, and there are also three or more layers. As the number of layers increases, the height of the cage increases, and it is generally necessary to cooperate with mechanical feeding.
3. The layered chicken cage completely overlaps the upper and lower layers of the half-step chicken cage to form a laminated chicken cage. There is a conveyor belt between the layers to remove the chicken manure. Its advantage is that the stocking density is high, the floor area of the chicken farm is greatly reduced, and the production efficiency of the breeders is improved; however, the requirements for chicken house construction, ventilation equipment and manure cleaning equipment are relatively high. Only a very small number of chicken farms in my country use this process.

Breeder cages include single-layer breeder cages and two-layer artificial insemination breeder cages. Different from ordinary chicken cages, in order to ensure normal mating or artificial insemination of male and female chickens, attention should be paid to: ①The size of the single cage and the diameter of the steel wire of the cage mesh should adapt to the characteristics of the larger weight of the breeder chicken; ②Generally, each Only 2 hens are raised in a single cage; ③The structure of the cage door should be convenient for catching chickens for artificial insemination.
